5-Day Hiking Itinerary in the Moroccan Ouirgane Mountains from Marrakech
Day 1: Marrakech – Ouirgane (1,000m)
- Transfer from Marrakech to Ouirgane National Park (~2 hours).
- Begin the trek by exploring the lush Ouirgane Valley, known for its red-earth hills, olive groves, and serene atmosphere.
- Visit nearby Berber villages.
- Settle into a charming guest house for the night.
- Walking duration: 2–3 hours.
Day 2: Ouirgane – Tassa Ouirgane – Tizi Oussem
- Trek through pine forests, juniper trees, and terraced fields.
- Ascend towards the Tizi Oussem.
- Enjoy panoramic views of the Ouirgane Valley and the surrounding peaks.
- Descend to a remote Berber village for overnight accommodation in a guest house.
- Walking duration: 5–6 hours.
Day 3: Tizi Oussem - Imlil (1,900m)
- Trek into the stunning Azaden Valley, known for its vibrant terraced fields and walnut trees.
- Pass through traditional Berber villages like Id Issa.
- Visit the impressive waterfalls near Tizi Oussem.
- Overnight in a Berber guest house or camp in Imlil.

Day 4: Hike in Imlil
- Enjoy a full day of hiking in the Imlil Valley.
- Explore the surrounding trails, visit local villages, or relax by a stream.
- Walking duration: 5 hours.
Day 5: Imlil – Marrakech
- Spend the morning exploring the local market or relaxing in the peaceful Imlil area.
- Transfer back to Marrakech in the afternoon (~2 hours).
