Depending on your arrival time, enjoy the rest of the day at leisure to relax and explore the beautiful coastal city. After breakfast, depart for Taroudant, known as "Little Marrakech" for its impressive red walls and authentic atmosphere. Explore the historic Medina, visit the bustling souks with traditional crafts, and see the impressive city ramparts. Visit the artisan quarters and see local craftsmen at work. After lunch, explore the beautiful gardens and olive groves surrounding the city. Return to Agadir in the late afternoon or choose to stay overnight in Taroudant (depending on itinerary option). Depart early for the journey to the desert. Travel through the Anti-Atlas Mountains to Taliouine, the saffron capital of Morocco. Visit a saffron cooperative (in season, October-November) and learn about this precious spice. Continue through spectacular mountain landscapes to the Draa Valley. Arrive in Zagora, known for its date production and historical significance as a caravan trading post. Visit the ancient Kasbah and see the famous sign indicating "52 days to Timbuktu." Morning exploration of Zagora's markets and palm groves. Continue to Mhamid, the last town before the vast desert. Here, switch to 4x4 vehicles for the journey to the remote and spectacular Erg Chigaga dunes, the largest in Morocco. Travel through the desert landscape, passing nomadic camps and fossil sites. Arrive at the dunes in time for sunset. Enjoy a camel trek over the golden sands to your luxury desert camp. Traditional Berber dinner under the stars with local music around the campfire. Wake up for sunrise over the majestic Erg Chigaga dunes - a truly breathtaking experience. After breakfast at the camp, depart via 4x4 through the desert landscape to the village of Foum Zguid, the first settlement after the desert crossing. Continue through the Anti-Atlas Mountains to Ouarzazate, known as the "Hollywood of Africa." Check into your hotel and visit the Taourirt Kasbah and Atlas Film Studios (entrance not included).
