Day 1: Casablanca

  • Arrive in Casablanca
  • Transfer to hotel
  • Dinner at Rick’s Café
  • Overnight at Preferred Barcelo Anfa Hotel 5

Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat - Chefchaouen

  • Breakfast at hotel
  • Visit Casablanca’s Hassan II Mosque for a guided visit inside
  • Drive to Rabat
  • Visit 12th century fortified castle Oudaya Kasbah
  • Walk the narrow alleyways, panoramic view with a stop for tea and a sweet almond pastry
  • If open, visit the Andalusian Garden and then continue to Hassan II Tower and Mohammed V Mausoleum
  • Tour the mausoleum where 3 kings of Morocco are buried and marvel at the gold and bright chamber
  • Lunch in Rabat
  • Drive to Chefchaouen
  • Stay at beautiful riad hotel

Day 3: Chefchaouen

  • Breakfast at the riad
  • Walking tour of Chefchaouen
  • Wander the maze-like city and finish before lunch time at the Place Outa el Hammam square where you can find the 15th century fortress which is today is a museum
  • Afternoon free
  • In the late afternoon, hike up to the Spanish Mosque and see the sun set behind the hills
  • Overnight at Riad Cherifa

Day 4: Chefchouan - Volibuls - Fes (Volubilis and winery tour)

  • Breakfast at riad
  • Drive to Fez
  • On the way (before lunch), visit Volubilis
  • Guided visit with a local expert
  • Overnight in Fez: prefer - Riad Laaroussa Hotel and Spa OR Hotel Sahrai, Riad El Amine Fès, or Palais Ommeyad Suites & Spa, or Riad Jaouhara

  • Drive to Chateau Roslane, the largest winery in the North of Africa
  • Lunch at Chateau Roslane
  • After lunch, have a guided tour of the cellar to learn more about the wine making process and the grape varieties that grow in the area
  • Tour will end with a wine tasting
  • Drive to Midelt
  • Next to Cedar forest in the Berber town of Azrou, to see Barbary macaque monkeys
  • Stay in Midelt at Villa Pomme D’Or

Day 7: Medilt Atlas to  Erg Chabbi desert

  • Drive up to Tafilalet, (largest oasis in Morocco, located in Ziz Valley) also known as Medjool after the famous premium dates
  • Stop by the Wahati cooperative in Tafilalet
  • Here you'll find locally grown dates, jam, syrups and Moroccan tea harvested by the woman-only group
  • Possibly Day with the Nomads
  • After a few stops to enjoy panoramic views of the area covered in palm trees, we will head into the Sahara Desert in time to enjoy the sunset
  • Camel ride on the sand dunes to a spot from where we will see the sun set before reaching luxury desert camp for the night
  • Overnight at the Desert Luxury Camp or Merzouga Luxury Desert Camp

Day 8:Erg Chabbi desert  - Todgha Gorge - Dades Valley

  • Leave desert after breakfast by 4WD
  • Drive towards Erfoud
  • Stop at the date market where we will learn more about this sweet fruit and taste some of the different varieties including Medjool dates
  • If time, stop also at fossil museum and factory in Erfoud to see the artisans at work extracting the fossils of ammonites, trilobites and other prehistoric animals and converting them into decorative pieces, sculptures, tables, etc.
  • Lunch in Erfoud or at the nearby local restaurant owned by Aicha where most of the staff are also female, and where we will enjoy the local specialty, camel tagine, or free range chicken cooked with saffron and olives
  • After lunch, Todgha Gorge, for a short hike
  • Drive towards our hotel for the night high atop a 1,600m hill spot over the Dades Valley/Dades Oases
  • Skoura and Tinerhir are the two of the most beautiful oases in Morocco and are both situated on the “Road of One Thousand Kasbahs”
  • After exploring the Todra Gorge, be sure to experience any of the dozens of Dades Kasbahs
  • Groves of almond, olive, and fig trees surround the magnificent structure
  • If you continue southwest, Kasbah viewing opportunities include the 17th -18th century Kasbahs: Aït Sisi el Mati, Kasbah el Kabbaba and the isolated Kasbah Ben Amar
  • Overnight at Xaluca Dades Hotel 4*

Day 10: Roses Valley, Women’s Cooperative, Ait Ben Haddou, Tichka Pass

  • After breakfast, take a hike in Dades Gorge
  • Head to Rose Valley to visit a female cooperative that grows and processes roses petals to distil them into rose water, oil and other cosmetic products
  • Visit Skoura Oasis
  • Stop for photos at Kasbah Taourite where we can enjoy a panoramic view of the area
  • Prefer to overnight again at Xaluca but if doesn’t make sense then somewhere near Ouarzazate or Ait Ben Haddou

Day 11: Ait Ben Haddou Ouarzazate – maybe Atlas Studios

  • Ait Ben Haddou - walking tour of the village and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant
  • Drive 3-4h drive towards Marrakech arriving in time for dinner
  • Overnight at Riad Nashida & Spa in Marrakech

Day 12-14: Marrakech

  • Walking tour of the city and the medina with local guide
  • Visit Bahia Palace, Dar El Basha Museum, while also exploring the artisans souks and bazaars
  • Lunch walking food tour
  • Jamaal El Fna Square, the biggest open square in the country filled with the snake charmers, acrobats, food stalls, henna ladies and more
  • After lunch, we will continue to the Secret Garden
  • The manicured gardens offer a break from the chaos of the medina
  • We will then walk back to the hotel and have some free time to enjoy the pool, rooftop terrace or to do some last minute shopping in the medina
  • During our time in Marrakech, do a small cooking class and henna

Day 15: Day trip to Essaouira

  • 3 hrs from Marrakech
  • Stop at an argan cooperative to see the now Instagram-famous argan tree goats and learn more about the process to make this prized oil
  • Lunch followed by a walking tour of the medina
  • Return to Marrakech

Day 16: Transfer to the airport

  • Transfer to the airport
