3 Days from Marrakech to Erg Chebbi
Day 1: Marrakech - Ait Ben Haddou - Dades Valley (355Km/ 8H)
- Pick-up from your riad in Marrakech.
- Drive across the Tizi n'Tichka Pass, enjoying panoramic views of the High Atlas Mountains.
- Visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou.
- Continue to the Dades Valley and check-in at your accommodation.
Our guides will pick you up from your riad in Marrakech to begin the desert tour to the Dades Valley. We will travel across the Tizi n'Tichka Atlas Pass (2260m), where you'll enjoy breathtaking views of the High Atlas Mountains, dotted with traditional Berber villages.
Next, we’ll visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou, where you can explore the ancient kasbahs with your guide. Afterward, we'll have lunch nearby before continuing along the famous "Road of a Thousand Kasbahs" to the Dades Valley, where we will spend the first night of the tour.
Day 2: Dades Valley - Todra Gorges - Erg Chebbi Dunes (305 km/ 7H)
- Drive to the Todra Gorges and explore the stunning canyon.
- Continue to Merzouga.
- Enjoy a camel ride through the Erg Chebbi dunes.
- Spend the night in a traditional Berber tent under the stars.
Breakfast at hotel and departure to Todra Gorges, a narrow gorge with vertical walls over 300 meters placed in a valley filled with palm trees and Berber villages. After lunch at the Gorges, we continue towards a small town called Merzouga, where you will enjoy a great dromedary ride while you have the chance to admire the sea of sand and the dunes of Erg Chebbi. Day 3: Erg Chebbi Dunes - Draa Valley - Marrakech (583 Km/ 10H)
- Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes.
- Have breakfast and depart for Marrakech.
- Drive through the Draa Valley, passing through Alnif, Tazarine, N’kob, and Ouarzazate.
- Cross the Tizi n'Tichka Pass.
- Arrive back in Marrakech.
We wake early to watch the sunrise in the dunes, have breakfast, and then make our way back to Marrakech, we return on a slightly different path with the dry landscape of
Saghro mountains, passing through Alnif, Tazarine, N’kob, and through the beautiful
Valley of Draa, the main trading road of the old camel caravans, and lunch in
Ouarzazate, Back by way of the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass, we arrive in Marrakech in the early evening.
