5-Day Moroccan Desert Adventure: From Fez to Marrakech

Day 1: Fez- Ifrane- Ziz Valley- Merzouga (450Km/ 9H)

  • Depart from Fez after breakfast.
  • Travel through the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing Ifrane and Azrou.
  • Stop for lunch in Midelt.
  • Descend through the Ziz Valley, dotted with date palms.
  • Arrive at the Merzouga Desert and check into your kasbah.
  • Enjoy dinner at the kasbah.
  • Overnight stay at the kasbah.

Day 2: Tour of Merzouga dunes

  • Explore the dunes, visit oases, and meet desert nomads.
  • Visit Khamlia village, known for its Gnawa music.
  • Optional: Enjoy a quad bike ride through the dunes.
  • Embark on a camel ride to watch the sunset.
  • Spend the night in a traditional desert tent.

Day 3: Merzouga- Toudra Gorge - Dades Gorge (280Km /7H)
