Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat – Meknes – Fes

  • After breakfast, we'll start our day traveling to Fes via Rabat and Meknes.
  • Rabat: Morocco's capital blends history with modernity. Visit the iconic Hassan Tower, an unfinished minaret, and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, where Morocco’s royal family rests. The Kasbah of the Udayas, with its charming blue-and-white buildings, offers a peaceful escape and great views of the Atlantic. Don't miss the Royal Palace and its beautiful gardens.
  • Meknes: A UNESCO World Heritage site, Meknes is known for its impressive Bab Mansour Gate and the grand Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. Explore the remnants of the royal stables and wander through the old medina to see traditional Moroccan life. Meknes is often quieter than other Moroccan cities, making it a great place to experience the culture at a slower pace.

Day 3: Fes Sightseeing with Local Guide

  • After breakfast, you'll begin a guided tour of the Fes medina, one of the world’s largest walled cities.
  • Explore the narrow streets lined with fresh fruit, mounds of spices, intricately woven Berber carpets, and many other Moroccan art objects.
  • Visit the King’s Palace, the tanneries, and potters.
  • For lunch, you may choose to eat in a traditional restaurant in the heart of the medina.

  • Crossing over the Middle Atlas Mountains, travel through the pre-desert countryside with its deep gorges and splendid oases of green palm groves.
  • Finally, arrive at the sand dunes of the Sahara Desert.
  • Spend the night in a desert auberge (hotel) located right on the edge of the dunes, where you'll have dinner local-style and spend the night.

Day 5: Erg Chebbi – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

  • Wake early and climb a dune to take some nice pictures.
